I put two Arran Pilot in 12" pots to get them started and bung them in the bottom of the cheapo plastic greenhouse overnight, warm weather here so one is showing and the compost has cracked on the other. I put another in a sack yesterday.

Right then.
I just harvested mine and a load of chips to go with the fish we got from Ace's trout farm in the Isle of Wight
If was Fish and Chips to die for
Mrs ACE does a curry sauce to go over the mushy peas like you wont believe and they all said that my forced rhubarb and ice cream defied criticism as a pudding

Two of the Rockets in the tubs have just been earthed up ;D
The one with a mixture of manure, council compost, leafmould topped with soil is really getting going :o
The manure one is 2nd best :D
With the leafmould and the c/compost one are both a few inches above the soil :)
The ones in the ground are still a no show :'(

Please don't be offended by my nickname 'Mortality'
As to its history it was the name of a character I played in an online game called 'Everquest'
The character 'Mortality Rate' was a female Dark Elf Necromancer, the name seemed apt at the time and has been used alot by me over the years.
