I noticed that they are starting to gather.  Saw 7 humungous toads in the pond yesterday.  (before the pond froze over   ;) )
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

Is that a bit early? it would be for us anyway in the north midlands, are you milder down there?

No spawn yet but they are "singing" in the night and there is a bit of movement in the pond

Being deaf and having very good double glazing I haven't heard a thing  :(, but this morning found two large splodges of spawn in my pond. Maybe this year I'll get some tadpoles - the fish ate all the spawn last year.

Hi.
Not sure when our frog spawn arrived but it wasn't there when we went on holiday on Feb 4 but was plenty there when we got back, Feb 12. Shame we missed the shenanigans. I think this is earlier than last year.

None here yet, but I do hear the odd little croak  :)
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

I will go and get some petrol and see it there are any frogs splatted on the road.  There is a crossing point just by our local petrol station.  It has been very wet this year so hopefully they will have made it across ok.

Finally found my first 2 lots of frogspawn today in my wildlife pond (an upside down sand pit) about a week and half later than last year.
