Will it - won't it?
« on: January 12, 2005, 11:04:13 »
Now's the time we get that frost that knocks the racemes before they have the chance to go their pastel pink. = Tim

Sorry about the focus - & how do I get them side by side?

Looking good so far.
As for posting the pics side by side, I do it by putting the 'message' on the same line with no spaces between the /img and the next img. Hope that makes sense. Works on shots from Photobucket.

That looks beautiful Tim, but what is it???  Only thing that I can thing that I could suggest would be a Garrya.  Never seen one close up so I am not 100% sure.
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

Great pics for this time of year, Tim - but my real motive in this post is to thank Eric for solving the riddle of the side by side pics for me at last!  I can't believe it's so simple - did a wee trial on another thread then deleted of course but IT WORKED! Think the fact that the two pics were fairly small may have helped too - but again THANKS ERIC  :-*

I know how to put pics side by side - just can never get it to work properly  ::)

Nice Garrya Tim.

Its one of Murphy's gardening laws that - just when a plant approached its best, something comes allong to spoil it. its like 'Mother Nature' thinks to herself "Sorry, not this time pal"

Tim, how old is your plant? I have two all of a foot high but the one has 7 bunches of flowers where the other has one. It is a beautiful shrub.

Mimi - patience, dear, patience! The worst is not over. But they did get their knickers in an awful twist with that gale.

Teresa - 10-15 years?? It's now 15'x15'. Wish I could get a good photograph!! = Tim

Thanks Tim, I might make it, taking a good photo is hard,

try this stand with your back to the sun, then take a photo of the bush first thing in the morning another at midday and another in the afternoon.

Then compare all 3 photos, it all depends on the level of light but make sure the sun is at your back so no extra light comes across the lens of the camera.

Some photos I have done with no sun out have turned out better the camera makes up for that give it a go and let us know how you get on.

Well? Well sort of!

For the first time in a decade, we got through the frosts - only to be lacerated by the gales. Yes, we just managed that lovely pink/green stage, but all the 'flowers' were frizzled.
