Tomato thief
« on: August 26, 2015, 11:03:38 »
Something is nipping off vines of my tomatoes and dragging them away.

Whatever it is nips the vines off and if they fall clear drags them out of the greenhouse.  Sometimes the odd tomato falls off in the greenhouse or on grass but is always left behind.

No footprints, no droppings, needs to lift/carry vines up 9 inch high exit step where some toms drop off.  I suspect squirrel or rabbit but do they take toms?

I will either close the door or put protective wire netting up today, but am curious to know the thief.

Did the netting do the trick?

put down flour around the area and see if that helps with prints being left - will only work if there is no rain
