I have just been trying MSE and got loads of disc activity for ages at startup. Seems to be to do with a service MsMpEng. Has anyone else had this problem? (It may be a problem to me because it is an old laptop). I have gone back to Avira (Free-AV) and the startup time has gone back to around one and a half to two minutes. Thanks for any replies.
