I tried to get one of these today but my local Poundland is qute small and weren't selling them. Are they any good? I was going to get one for the novelty of it.

I have a one. About 4" square. Very easy to wind up but not much light. I find it useful to find the keyhole when I come home in the dark etc..

I have a "squeezy" torch and it's great - very easy to "wind up" - good light from LEDs

I have a wind up radio (with solar panel to save on arm muscles during sunnier days). It's nice to have a little audible company sometimes!

I have a wind-up torch and radio combined which is great but must confess I've put batteries in it because the radio didn't last long on winding.
