unable to log on to A4A-got two computers
« on: November 09, 2010, 12:43:01 »
Hi I wonder of any one can help.

I have been using lap top for a while to view and use the forum, but now tried to get on the forum with my desk top (sorry decadent having two).  :-[
I can view the forum as a guest but am unable to log on using the same user name and password.
I don't want to create an new profile. do I re-register again using same information?
The lap top allows me to log-in and use no problem.
Any help much appreciated.
Anne

I've just logged on with a 2nd comp, no problem.

Passwords are case sensitive so check the CAPS LOCK

Your username is the name you first registered with, so if you have ever changed your name then 'pumpkinlover ' is not your username but the original name you had.

Thank you- that's it!!
When I first registered I mis-spelt pumpkin and missed the p out :-[ :-[ :-[
when I realised I changed it hoping no-one had noticed in the mean time!!

You would think someone who claims to love pumpkins would know how to spell the word. ;D ;D

Thanks again Anne

I've just had a problem, not allowed to access A4A. I got a page up with warning about virus etc. It suggested I switch off the router and switch it on again.

Remedy: I went into the control page of the router, disconnected BB then reconnected it and everything was fine (it changed the IP address). I use many websites but this is the only one which objected to the address (the router has been connected for weeks and has been into A4A before). Silly damned thing, but at least I shall know what to do in future.
