free compost
« on: October 30, 2010, 23:21:06 »
Had a nice surprise today- the council were giving away compost (I assume made from the stuff we all put in our brown bins)-also bags to put it in, and there were spades provided.  We took our grand-daughter to a local wildlife park, and there it was!  It looks very good, even though it's extremely smelly!

Ours does an annual give-away every May. It's brilliant stuff - but don't use it neat! (And drive around with all the car windows open for a couple of days!!!)

We'll spread it in the next week or so - will have the winter to break right down.
