Hallo there

Thanks to all who came up with some suggestions for Strawberries grown for flavour.  As a result of your suggestions I did a bit of research, and lo and behold D T Browns are offering 20 plants for £18.80 plus postage of a French Collection, i.e.  each of Gariguete, Combaille, Mara des Bois, and Reine des Vallees.

I thought this was a good oportunity to try out these varieties (Gardeners World is also working on a comparison Strawberry Bed too).  If you copy the link below into your address bar it will take you straight to the website, and the only downside is £3.95 postage!

I would love to hear of successes or otherwise with new varieties of Strawbs.  Regarfds, Caro

Interesting....Combaille is a new one on me, reminds me of Maxim a bit by the description, I will be interested to see how they all do for you.

One of my strawberry collections is going to be planted out in the next few days, it arrived when I was in the middle of working nights....hence me still being up at 3am converting back! ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
