I planted a butternut squash plant quite late. It has 2 fruits on it that look good. They are starting to go yellow-ish. Are they ready to be taken off the plant yet and left in the cold greenhouse? Don't want the frosts to get them, but not sure if they are ready to come off yet.

Take it from your blog you are around Lancashire way. If frost threatens , take them off, but leave a long a stem as possible on them.
