While clearing up pots down the lottie I encountered this beauty :)
I don't know what it is but it was a lovely sight on a cold grey afternoon  :)

Beautiful specimen, you were lucky to be able to put the coin down and it didn't fly off!  :)

I was sorting pots and disturbed it so it took a while to wake up,I had to run down to the shed to get my camera and it was flexing it's wings I think to perhaps warm up.The 10p was to give an idea of scale as I'd never seen a butterfly that big.
