Congratulations Mat stunning picture, my favorite, but super competition from everyone, just had another look at them all fantastic standard.
Love to know if you were on land or sea when you snaped the puffin?

Thanks.  I was on land - it was taken on the Farne Islands; Inner Farne, as again, we couldn't land on Staple :-( which I have visted for the last three years.  Great place to learn to photo them (trial/error!) as there are puffins everywhere!

I wasn't sure if you were land based or not, as used to love watching birds when on a boat, could never get past the amazement of them flying but seeming timeless as they just held in the air at the same speed as we were travelling.

Ahhh Manics, loved yours, another stunning shot, very similar coastline to some in my area  :)

Stunning shot, Mat! A worthy winner amongst some great photos.

(Thanks to those who voted for my moth. I'm going to put it in 'Wildlife' to see if someone can ID it for me!)

I do take quite a lot of photos Nick, and there's now usually a few very good ones afterwards.  I've been going in June or July for the last three years and I am getting better at tracking the little "wound up toys" through a lens!!!  This was my best "front on" photo so far.
