First Monday of every month we have management committee meetings. We used to put the minutes on the noticeboards but realised that it was rather unkind to put plot inspection data in the public domain so don't now. I put out a newsletter every couple of months which gives feedback from the committee meetings. Actually other members could come along but they don't!!
We find that we have a good two hours' business every month but we have 100 plots. I suppose, if you have fewer, you might not need such long meetings.
A typical agenda would include: apologies, minutes of previous meeting and matters arising, secretary's report, treasurer's report, allocations officer's report, agenda items (e.g. work party planning or repairs and projects), the gardening spot and AOCB.
We started the gardening spot to lighten things up a bit - we take turns every month to do a ten minute talk on our particular interest or area of expertise. It usually means the meeting finishes with laughter and animated discussion!
