Pumpkin Scones (Australian style)
•   30g softened butter or marg
•   ½ cup white sugar
•   Pinch of salt
•   1 egg
•   1cup of cooled cooked mashed pumpkin (steam or boil)
•   200g of plain flour + 1 teas baking powder (or 200g  SR flour and a pinch of bicarb)

heat oven hot, 225-250c
cream together the butter, sugar, salt
Add the egg then the mashed pumpkin, mix well till smooth.
Gently fold in the flour.
Roll or pat out till 2-3 cm thick, then cut into rounds or triangles. Brush a little milk on the top then in the oven. 10-15 minutes. don't let them burn!

thought this was a good idea with the squash season approaching! Enjoy!
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

Have you ever substituted butternut squash for the pumpkin?
The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.
