Hi Duke

The post involves helping to regenerate disused allotment sites and helping to make new allotment sites. Its like the NSALG but we don`t deal with legal matters just practical matters like committees, fund raising, applying for grants etc. It is funded by the lottery and lots of other organisations to help promote allotments for all in the community.
They work alongside/with NSALG when helping to set up new sites. NSALG negotiate with local farmers/council/parishes etc for leases or buying land and any other legal matters and ARI help with establishing the site.
I guess there`s lots more but I have to go for training in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and I am a soft southerner so I am looking forward to going that far up the country  8)
I love the accent but don`t know anything else about Newcastle. I hope to get to see some allotment sites while I am there.  :D

When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

That's brilliant, well done!
I would love a job like that - imagine getting paid for doing something you love anyway  :D
ARI have used lots of my photos in their newsletter in the past so I feel sort of connected.

Hi Fuchsia
You are taking over from me. I enjoyed my few years eith ARI, but due to reasons Deborah might have explained to you I can no longer continue. There is plenty going on and planned throughout the South West Area, not only new sites but also means of finacing them.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
