How sweet.
« on: July 26, 2010, 11:59:49 »
Daughter took her youngest to her plot yesterday (4). Alan told her to go in his shed & get a container & then they could pick some black currants. Little one chose the biggest she could find & wanted to fill it to the top. Daughter then sowed some seeds. As they were walking hand in hand little one said, "Hey mum when people look at us now they will think we are proper gardeners, we've planted seeds & we've picked & we've got our wellies on" Alan was heard to chuckle in the background.

Same little one different topic. She asked mum what sulking was & when told she said "Oh I've done that. I did it once when we were at auntie Katies but I was in bed so no one knew about it"

don't you love them  ;D
While being shouted at, Matthew (nearly 3) turned to his mum, smiled a huge smile and said "Well, mummy, it's a lovely, sunny day"
I've just found out my 4th grandchild is on the way, sooo excited  ;D

My five year old son did a cute one the other day.

His Grandma picked him up from school, with the plan that they'd get the bus home here (only about 5 minutes).

They waited, and waited, but no bus turned up - so they walked up instead.

Whilst we were having a cup of tea, about 3 buses went past.

Anyway, he was talking about it, as he knew hat Grandma was sad / annoyed / disappointed with the buses.

He said to me "I was sad in my brain, but I showed that I was happy on my face".
I'd rather be digging my plot

My neighbour sent his 15 year old to get some peas from the plot and pod them for tea.

Came home to find a load of broad beans.

The child said, I thought they looked a lot bigger than those we normally grow.
