My runner beans are under attack ,somthing is eating the leaves,it leaves holes all over the leaves cant see anything on them it seem to happen overnight ,any ideas pjr

I have found that there is a population of caterpillars and small slugs which are eating my bean leaves due to the lack of moisture in other leaves at the moment.
