now i feel like im getting somewhere with my jungle, ive got my eye on my mums bay tree, she says im welcome to take clippings but she tried before and they all died, soooooo ... any tips on the best way to cultivate bay???  please  ;D i love fruit n herbs!!!
i think i like it here :D now who can tell me how to grow my own chocolate???

think it's very difficult to get bay tree cuttings to root. But don't worry, someone else will be along in a bit with a different opinion  :D

Probably easie
st to take in autumn, popull off a small shoot with a bud and a couple of leaves. Dip in hormone rooting compound, put in a pot of 50:50 sand/potting compost and stick the pot in a bag on a bright but not sunny windowsill... north-facing is good....., or else in a propagator, keep an eye on the moisture level, wants to be damp but not wet....
