I usually find that washing my hair also seems to clean my hands or washing a pair of socks by hand.
!I use my 3-y-o son's old toothbrushes. I scrub it on the soap or squirt on a bit of liquid soap and then scrub away! They are much softer than adult ones and I find they work so much better than proper nail brushes. Recycling too!
thought about a manicure but felt too deeply ashamed of how nails looked!! (..I know, I know..it's the equivalent of tidying up before the cleaner comes!. Wouldn't mind a cleaner come to think of it - house been sadly neglected since got the lottie!)

Have a manicure. Not only does it get rid of the cr*p but it's very relaxing and if you've spent the day on the lottie/in the garden then you deserve a bit of pampering.I go to my local college where they have a beauty department and it costs a fiver for a really nice manicure.last manicure i had (25 quid) she deliberately DIDNT clean under my nails,as apparently they *dont do that anymore* for health and safety reasons, they could damage the nail bed...i have never been so embarassed! I havnt found my hands too bad so far this year, the soil has been so very dry it hasnt clung to my skin as normal!
