sparkplugs?
« on: June 10, 2010, 19:37:43 »
I have a Homelite F2020 that is having trouble starting. The sparkplug on the site says RDJ-7Y, i've found info on the net that says a NGK BPMR7A can be used.

Does the make of sparkplug make any difference?
Do you know what size tool is required to remove/fit it?

Thanks
Neil

Basic answer - no

More complicated answer - some brands are more reliable than others...

Thanks for the quick reply, i'll stick with a Champion RDJ-7Y.

Just got to find a cheap tool now.

Don't know if it still holds true, but NGK used to be the best available.

And I've just found a table comparing Champion and NGK equivalents. Seems you would need a BPMR6F.

Thanks for the link.
I came accross that earlier but didn't read it properly. I thought that was all the sparkplugs they supplied ;D
