Leaves Turning Red
« on: May 30, 2010, 20:04:04 »
I planted a lupin, geranium, two young Echiums and a rudbeckia last week on my allotment.

Today, I've noticed that they are all turning red, mainly on the leaves. The lupin looks like it is dead.

I've not used any chemicals and I can not think of any obvious cause.

What is the usual cause of red leaves?

I think it is probably a temperature related problem - the leaves on pelargoniums turn red if they get chilled, and my rocket all turned red in the frost recently.  Hope they recover for you now it's getting warmer.
