Allotment shocks
« on: November 12, 2004, 16:41:10 »
Been away from the plot for 4 weeks. By 'eck, did I get a shock yesterday. I forgot I'd sown mustard on all the ground I'd emptied and reclaimed. The intention was to dig it when it got to an inch or so.....It's close to 2 feet tall!

At least yours grew Ken, I have a very sparse patch of green manure....don't know if it was the birds or me.

Going to keep you busy huh!

It looked something of a daunting task but a good rack pulled 90% of it up which went into the compost bin. What was still in the ground I'm getting round to digging in. Added to that over the last months has been leaf mould and horse manure. That's got to be good for growing something next year.
