I stopped buying any A BOWERS compost years ago it is absolute rubbish they would have to pay me £5 a bag to take it away.

Well I use it - New Horizon, and I wouldn't use anything else.  Now who shall I believe?  One bloke from Dorset or Which?

I've decided not to buy any more J A Bowers Compost, as you say it's rubbish. I now buy B&Q multi-purpose which is much better.

slightly off topic but i bought some multi compost from wilkos last week for potting and have good results

also bought multi from sainsburys which was good also

not sure of the growbag i have but its seems like good stuff,cost 2 quid from a local hardware store

I too steer away from JA as it is full of rubbish!

I now only use B&Q multi purpose compost for everything and get good results.

I purchased some of the JA Bowers growbags from Morrisons about a month ago and whilst the contents didn't look very good, the results are excellent - used this as 'compost' to pot on courgettes and pumpkins and the plants from this are much stronger growing and with an excellent root system, than those in a multi purpose compost.  The £1 bags are the standard size growbags
