dont no anything bout comps bit think this is a virus? cant get rid of it . Have lost mi icons and it just keeps poping up saying my computer has been infected and must pay to clear it

The simplest way is probably using Malware Bytes Anti Malware.
Follow the step by step instructions here if you have any problems shifting it then let us know.

This is what's known as scare ware. Basically its a type of spyware that scares you into buying their software.
Try this

Its safe legal and free (you can make a donation.)
Follow the instructions install it and give it a go.
I use it and have done for years.
