Our plots are tiny 5 x 12m (2.5 poles is that right?).  £36/year.  Feel envious of plots where you have room for sheds, seating, ponds etc but it's better than nothing.

Mines a half plot (27ft by 50ft) just outside norwich
Rent is £12.50 a year. Water, a key and a carpark is included but nothing else.
A refundable £25 fee is needed when taking a plot on and returned when returning a plot if no major clearance work is needed.
I think its more than reasonable! :)

We are not allowed sheds but things have been disappearing from the communal one.

Is this a private site, it seems a bit pricey.

Yes, at £15/pole that's very expensive.  Here's a comparison of the rents (for a ten pole plot) in boroughs around Newbury, so you can see that £15/pole is more than twice as expensive as the most expensive (which is Newbury  ;) ).

Yes it seems that our allotments are expensive!  They are not private but they are run by our own association which took them over from the town council 3 years ago.  I think the association charges the same rent the council did.  The water's free.... ::)

£21 for half plot in Bexhill.
Just taken standpipes away and replaced with trough like things that you can just about stand a watering can in. Yet to see if rent goes up this year.

For a 1/16 acre plot with water 1st and 2nd  year was £25 with a huge free delivery of the soil conditioner the council make ( bit of a free for all and never managed to nab any)

rent went up to £35 in nov and will rise to £45 next november..no more free condition but least the paths are being redone

Still a bargain I reckon

Just had my rent letter for one of my plots.

3.35 poles at £15 per year (includes water rates - which is estimated for now)
I'd rather be digging my plot

We pay £23 for a 1/2 plot which includes mains water.  This will rise to £25 over the next 2 years.

Council have recently installed a loo & septic tank, which is god news for anyone caught short  ;D
