So pleased to hear that you have a plot, even if it is a small one. Jeannine. You will feel really at home now the missing link(allotment) is in place. I am sure that you will make good use of the small space and soon will be getting another.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Have you got everything you need for your new lottie?......enough seeds?... ;D
How is the ground...? Was it all weed free and ready to go? Is your growing season started there? Oh there is so many things to nosy about.... ;D
I would love to "hang over the fence" and have good old questions answers moment..so tell your hubby that new fence of yours will have to be stronger and able to keep more than few "bunnies" out... ;)

Great news Jeannine.
I grew beans and butternut squash at the side of my path and the top half was at an angle (45degrees) over the path, so they only took up about  4"-6" of ground. Maybe a simular idea could be used on your plot.

Six lots next year would be superb. I'm sure you will dazzle them and you have nearly a year to work on the committee to hand the plots over earlier in the year  ;D

The only seed I don't have  that I really like and can't get here is Kenya Safari beans. I really like them but it seems no-o does them here
There are a very few low growing annual weeds but that is all so we will be able to get it in shape quite quickly.John is working on the fence already.

I feel so much more relaxed now I have a bit of land.
