Guess who went to uni today...
« on: March 10, 2010, 17:56:12 »
....he did!
[attachment=1]

The day was all about 'wellbeing and diversity' and we had a stand promoting our allotments, which are the nearest ones to the university.

He attracted a lot of interest and comments, including "Is it real?"  "Do you own a business making them?"  and "What is it, it's scaring me".

The uni chaplain lent him his clerical collar.

There was a lot of interest in allotments from students and staff and I really enjoyed the day.

I love the photos :-)

So, how did you get on "carrying him to the hall"?  Did you get many strange looks?!  did you wheel him there in a barrow?!

Yes, I'm very proud that my boy has been to uni, I knew he had it in him. ;)

They didn't give him a certificate today, maybe that will happen on graduation day?

My husband dropped me off on the main road outside the uni and I had to carry him (the scarecrow, not my husband) a short distance to the building.  We did get some strange looks but nobody laughed, they are very polite in Birmingham!!!  ;)

Yes, he had his seatbelt on!

hehe brilliant  ;D
Please don't be offended by my nickname 'Mortality'
As to its history it was the name of a character I played in an online game called 'Everquest'
The character 'Mortality Rate' was a female Dark Elf Necromancer, the name seemed apt at the time and has been used alot by me over the years.
