Is today the start of Spring, or will it be on Sat 20 March 10, the equinox?

The weather man on the Beeb said that due to the cold the daffodils will be five weeks late this year. If that is any help.

I had a few daffs flowering in December  :o. When it is really frosty they just droop and look sad, I think they must have died but they soon pick up. The amount of blooms have steadily been increasing each month, perhaps it is because they are Welsh ones  ;D

I saw some this morning (Devon) with flower buds on  ;)
Please don't be offended by my nickname 'Mortality'
As to its history it was the name of a character I played in an online game called 'Everquest'
The character 'Mortality Rate' was a female Dark Elf Necromancer, the name seemed apt at the time and has been used alot by me over the years.

I decided to bring Spring forward on Saturday and bought a couple of bunches of daffs - well after all this miserable weather I needed cheering up.  ;D

There's buds on the brambles.   >:(  I'm hoping for a frosty March to keep the buggers at bay!
