Enjoying my holiday in England
« on: February 23, 2010, 21:17:46 »
I came over last Wednesday evening to see my parents and then to take my children to London for the weekend; it was brilliant.

I must admit that when I left England to live in France I was very unhappy with this country.  I am now much happier and with my new found confidence I love being in my home town (Stoke).  The people are really friendly and helpful.  I really love my life in Brittany but if I could afford my house and land in France over here that would be great.

I must admit, having spent a good proporttion of my life living abroad I know how you feel.  This country is lovely as seen through the eyes of a visitor, but living ... ...  ::) ::) a different kettle of fish.  But then every country is the same, I think.

Trouble is - it is expensive relative to almost everywhere else in the world.

Where did you finally take the children on their whistle-stop tour of London?

No definitely not. Duck is much further south in Staffordshird/Derbyshire.  You all right shug is chipsville language.  Stokie aka chipeater.

Sorry coco, but Stoke is not somewhere I would like to live, as near as we are to it.

Be happy in Brittany.  Nostalgia is not all its cracked up to be, and Stoke most definitely is not. :(
