broad beans refusing to germinate
« on: February 13, 2010, 18:28:34 »
Sowed my Aquadulce Claudia in modules last November in an unheated greenhouse.   The have not shown a sign of wanting to grow.  Had a firtle and the beans are there all right just dormant.  Should I just leave them, or start some other types now?  The ones I sowed last year (different variety) grew like the clappers.

If they haven't rotted they should be OK, but you could try a couple indoors to make sure.

I thought I had a similar problem this year with my Aquadulce, but they eventually came through (9 out of 12), but in the meantime I had sown some more indoors....  ::) So I'd leave them a while longer

I was having similar problems but a few days in the heated propagators cracked them through OK
