Hi,
I'm new as well. Plenty to read on here and I like being able to add tags.

Hi to you both,

My allotments are in Huddersfield, and like Gavin, I'm slightly better at gardening than Geography.

Best of luck with your new venture.

Welcome to A4A - it really is an addictive site and full of help and guidance from the more experienced members.. always a good place to visit when the weather prevents gardening.

I'm new to the vegetable malarky too so there are a good few of us 'newbies'. ;D ;D

Just found your post. Did you get your plot & if so whereabouts? I have one in Harrogate & I'm feeling slightly concerned about a questionnaire received recently from the council regarding allotment use. Site is full & there is a waiting list, but can't help wondering if there is something sinister about the questionnaire given so many sites nationwide are being sold for housing. (There is a serious shortage of affordable housing in the area).

I hope I'm worrying about nothing!
