Kids - Its the police
« on: December 31, 2009, 12:58:57 »
I can't believe my son. He's gonna get me shot!   This morning I reported a crime that had occurred on our allotment site.  The police arrived, took details then left,  I then returned home.

Whilst out the front of my house wassisting my nextdoor neighbour the policeman dealing with the incident telephoned my house.  My son answered and told him there was nobody here except him and his little sister, that they were home alone.  She is 8 and he is 6yrs old.  I guess my next visit will be for child neglect.

Reminds me of when my friends son phoned the police because she had hit him, they duly arrived discovered that he was 6 foot tall & 32 years old & she was only 5 foot. All of a sudden it wasn't her that was in trouble.

I think there is some truth in a quote that I cannot recall accurately which says something like.

Kids are there to embarrass us when they are young
So that we can get our own back in our dotage.
