Yup, it happens every time I meet some one I have not seen for years I notice how much older they look

Then realise that I must too, to them.

Cruel? I don't think it is age being cruel. I think it is the intrusive nature of Mail journalism  that is the problem here trying to make money out of idle gossip. The couple in question look like an attractive and totally normal couple to me.

I expect that the journalists can not cope with this ageing themselves.  Paul Hogan was no spring chicken when he did Crocodile Dundee.  The comedy was that he was old and naive about the world but an expert in his own field.  It showed us that we did not have to bow to modern trends but could hold different old fashioned values.

Not a great angle or facial expression for Paul there really. He looks peed off if anything that he is being photographed on his balcony!!!
Age isn't cruel. The media is cruel for promoting the idea that only youth is beautiful.
She rocked that g-string cossie in her what-late 30's early 40's? Her work here is done.  ;D
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

Yep but that doesn't sell newspapers!! I actually wondered what the reaction would be to the same photos with a totally different text pointing out - they're still married, they're still healthy,  they still love each other and life has been good to them. :P
