Hurrah for free garlic
« on: November 02, 2004, 14:41:22 »
Wow, one of my colleagues that I keep discussing gardening with, and was telling all about my new allotment yesterday, has just given me 4 bulbs of garlic to plant! Germidor, Cristo, un-named red french one, and un-named italian one. They have all come from her crop this year  :)

Now I have something to plant when I get the lottie dug  ;D

Lucky you!

I was rejoicing my one free bulb (ordered three, got sent four). But I didn't have room to plant it, so gave it to mum. (I hope she grows it rather than eating it - she left it in the kitchen cupboard!)
gone to pot :D

I hate to be the devil's advocate, but I do hope that she has had no white rot. She may not even know. I would plant them well away from where you might want alliums later?? = Tim
