My words, that's a bit early even for sherry :D... Messy Hicmas one and all......

Potential disaster with 5yr old niece's DVD averted when discovered my brothers new DVD player is hackable to play region free.... phew..... niece went non-verbal for 30 seconds ( an age to not hear her make a recognisable sound beyond "squeeee") when she opened the little package (compared to all other gifts she was getting) to find Beauty and the Beast.....

Nephew didn't open any other presents for an hour and a half after he's got the paper off the JCB toy crane I gave him... too busy picking things up and putting them down again....

a good xmas.... hope you all had one too....

Well I was awake at 6.15am Christmas morning, wasn't worth trying to sleep as I was expecting Grandson to bang on wall at 7am. Did he heck!! Eventually daughter rang me at 8.30am when she got up, Grandson still asleep. I decided to give him a rude awakening by shouting in his ear, told him it was 9am which he didn't believe. Didn't have chance to open a bottle until lunchtime, too busy helping daughter with preparations for lunch and welcoming Joshua's other Grandparents. Woke at 4.45am this morning can't get back to sleep so decided to get up early. Will be round there to start all over again bit later. Only 4 of us to lunch but a family gathering at tea time. It's a grand life and I love it.
