How amazing to see them this time of year.  Could never buy strawberries now after tasting home grown. They look lovely. I used to make some fabulous smoothies at the tail end of ours by combining the strawberries with live yoghurt.  Yummy! busy_lizzie

My mid-season variety is producing fruit again now. Every time one ripens, I put it in a pot in the freezer. I hope eventually to have enough to make jam!

I agree with Lizzie - never again will I be able to eat shop-bought ones. They just do not taste like strawberries!
gone to pot :D

And did you get fruit from them in the summer?
I was considering some Alpine strawberries from seed for next year - that's why I was wondering.

Thanks,
SB
