Dahlias
« on: November 05, 2009, 17:39:20 »
I am so lucky, went to the allotment today, like one does, and have been admiring these dahlias for weeks.  Asked the man how I could grow some next year, and he cut these lovely flowers, wasn't begging honestly.  Also picked 15 sprouts from my allotment.  Had to share this picture with you.

Lucky you, they're really lovely! I like the pinkish one at the front and the two white ones.  Enjoy your sprouts!

I love dahlias!
They are so easy to grow and flower for ages.  I've only just cut mine down so they could go to bed for the winter but there were still lots of flowers on them.
Maybe the man will give you some cuttings/tubers next year.
