Cooking Spaghetti Squash
« on: October 25, 2009, 15:54:21 »
I cooked my first spaghetti squash (hasta la pasta) after cutting it in half and removing the seeds. I cooked it in the microwave for about 8 mins, until the flesh was starting to separate from the skin. It was quite sweet, probably because I did not boil it which would only take away the taste and sweetness.
I tried it with some sweet and sour sauce which went well. Has anybody got other good ideas for combinations with cooked spaghetti squash?

I've bought one to try & didn't know what to do with it so did a search. The site I found said there is no difference in taste between roasting & microwaving. This person said freshly grated parmesan, basil infused olive oil + salt & pepper or any pasta sauce.

Yes, that sounds like a good idea to me.
