Next day here. It happens all the time. Even when they do ring the bell.

On one occasion I was standing behind the door as it happened when a card came through saying they had rung but no-one had answered. He was well embarrassed when I opened the door and asked for my parcel! ;D ;D :o

The problem is that the postie knows that when my car isn't outside the front door then I am not in.  I should have left a note on the letterbox telling him to ring the bell but I didn't think.

I went to the Royal Mail website and it gave me the option of having it redelivered on Friday, so I booked that.

(I'll beat him up after he gives me the package)

That's typical, half of them don't bother to knock these days. Parcelforce just post a card asking me to pick it up if it needs a signature.

Twice this year I've had parcels left on the doorstep which they're not supposed to do. Both were then opened and items broken or taken! Complaining to them was a total waste of time as were the letters of apology that I finally received.
I've also had a handful of letters sent to me in recent months not arrive.  Needless to say you can guess what my opinion of them is now!

Its hard to understand when an item can be move from one end of the country to the other sometimes within 24hrs, how, if they are unable to deliver, it then takes 48hrs for it to be passed on to a local collection point for collection!

May not be allowed but our postie normally leaves parcels, which is fine as it saves 40mile trip to collect.

It arrived safely and is now on its way to.................

Someone whose name,  for some strange reason always makes me think of sandals.  (I'm rubbish at cryptic)

Thank you so much for arranging this Asbean, it was so exciting looking through all the packets of seeds and deciding which to have.  You are so well organised with the list of names and labels, thanks again.

Yep!

If the postal service proves efficient ::)  (i.e. the parcel arrives tomorrow or Monday) I'll have it back on the road the same day.  8)

The goodie bag has arrived safely, and there's lots of lovely stuff.

It'll be back in the post first thing Monday; I'll return with a clue once it's posted.  ;D

I underestimated my ability to sweet talk the postmaster.  :D The parcel is back 'in the system' & will be collected on Monday, destined for a member in the vicinity of the M4.

My pitiful attempt at a cryptic clue: receptacle for honey, truncated. I'm sure you'll see why I stick to Sudoku.  ::)

It barely makes sense in my head.  :D Never fear, I'll PM the next recipient tomorrow too let them know it's en-route.  ;D People near the M4, brace yourselves!
