HP, CC and Watts

I'm looking to replace my electric hedge trimmer, and want something with more power.

How does a 26cc engine compare with 500w motor ?

Is there a way of comparing horse power/cubic centimeters/watts ?

Not directly, at least for performance. You get what you pay for and a good electric machine may be better than cheapo petrol models.

Personally, I would not use anything but Stihl, and even they must have double-edged blades. Upside: reliability. Downside: Expensive, heavy, and require discipline and respect in use.

There's not a direct equivelence because the power produced depends on more than the displacement, but typically both 2-stroke and 4-stroke 26cc garden tools are around 750W, Ryobi a bit less, Honda a bit more.
