We had some gentle rain yesterday afternoon and overnight; it's dry at the moment and we're hoping it will stay this way for the morning as we have a school visit to our allotments and wildlife area of the reception class from our local infants school

A bit of drizzle yesterday and a few spots at 6:30 this morning - better than nothing and it will keep my spinach seedlings happy.

For the first time in weeks its totally honking it down around here! I just had to turn my tv up due to the sound of the rain :)
was going to take the newborn for a walk today but gladly trade that for some free irrigation ;D
Thank goodness too because when i went to the site the other day it was like the sahara!

It rained all morning in Leeds so hopefully it will have given the garden the soaking it needed.... unfortunately it also made my bus late for work but you can't have it all can you :)

It's been drizzly here. There was a bit of rain last night; not a lot, but enough to set the stream bubling away for the first time in weeks.
It dried up altogether last week, and that's always a worry. When it does so, the water table drops like a stone, but as soon as water starts flowing, it feeds back into the water table and bings it back up.

Some rain though I doubt it's penetrated very far into the soil. We've hardly had any this year I checked the rainfall records so far.

Finally! Rain most of the day here, and in Manchester where I was on a course right next to the Tory conference- nice to see them all getting wet- serves them right for wanting to make us work another year!

Bit of a drizzle this morning. But ground still very dry.
We are supposed to get heavy rain overnight. I hope so I want it to soften the ground a bit so I can plant out my onion sets and garlic.
