Weed Wand
« on: September 25, 2009, 19:36:48 »
I have been given a weed wand as I find it hard to get down to hand weed,it was bought on Argos. It came with a can of gas which has now ran out Can anyone tell me were I can buy more gas, I have tried B&Q, loacla garden centres, hardwear and ironmongers. No one seems to stack them down here in South Wales

my mum always bought her canisters from focus, but sadly she no lnger uses the weed wand as she managed to set fire to her garden, destroying her perimeter fence of lleylandi(not so bad in my opinion).and most of her hebes, cotoneaster and ceanothus.
use your weed wand VERY cautiously around woody shrubs.

Used mine to sterilize the ground where the tomatoes and potatoes had been with the blight.

Must say I would not use it near a conifer, they are very volatile.

I put a Christmas tree on a bonfire once and it went up like a bomb.

Same goes for eucalyptus as for conifers, growing or dead, they really flare up.
