Angel wings
« on: September 24, 2009, 18:42:32 »
Some of the Canada geese in our park have deformed wings, I believe it is called 'Angel Wing' and is caused by a dietary deficiency. (some feathers on either one or both of their wings stick out at right angles)

Does anyone know if the affected geese will be able to fly?

I imagine so. I've seen it but I've never looked to see if any birds coming into land showed it. They can fly with feathers missing so I doubt whether it would affect them much.
