Found this wee fella while kayaking on the canal, its a very fast swimmer, we had a few kids with us who had never seen a grass snake before so after a fight throught the shrubbery i managed to catch it.

Grass snakes are almost semi-aquatic and they can really swim. Did it produce its smelly stuff all over your hand?

yes it did and it rearlly did smell but i was expecting it so didnt get any over me.
