I have Sky, previously had Virgin, which cost the earth (although prices have dropped since I changed) so don't know, although one of my (former) young colleagues swears by BT Vision. Mind you I think that's because he can access lots of ice hockey which he plays on a regular basis. I like Sky because I can phone anywhere anytime for up to an hour for £5 a month and with family  and friends in France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, Portugal, USA, Chile, Venezuela and Canada that surely helps with the bills!! Mobiles and premium type numbers excluded. BT have told me several times that they can't match that. I think Sky Broadband is rubbish, but that depends on where you are.

Have you tried something like uswitch which allows you to compare?

We have BT Vison, its ok but you have to pay for the good films but you do get 7 new free ones a week and about 40 odd you can chose from, dont use the sports kids ect, easy to record stuff.

We have freeview and talk-talk

me too, but I don't watch much TV so Freeview is more than adequate for me and with TalkTalk I can call abroad for free too.

Why don't you check and see if there is a cable connection in your new area. Faster broadband one hundred or so tv  channels and cheap telephone all in one bill. Also no big dish stuck on your house.

Everything else is a cheap imitation.

We are on this virgin lark. >:(
We have had no end of problems since they went over to this from NTL.
All we get is pixelated tv and slow broadband with a phone line which you cannot here the other party talking on some of the time.
If we change it will be Freeview box and a dvd postal witha phone and broadband line from another company.
You can keep the VM away from us and tell others in this area the same. There is no care in customer service anymore. :( :( :(

Got them back now to put some tread on them

It probably depends in which area you live. We have never had any problems with Virgin but we did with telewest
