Topic: Found another kitten on the plot

One of our plotholders found this tiny kitten on his plot this morning.  It was crying, and mum was nowhere to be seen.  We put it in an open-topped box and left it for an hour but she still didn't come back for it so I phoned the Cats Protection League.  They were brilliant!  Came and collected the kitten and said they would hand-rear it and then rehome.
Sorry I couldn't get a photo of its face, but it would have been a bit difficult holding it with one hand and taking the photo with the other.

No more pictures of kittens please, because I want it and I want it now.  Not allowed any more animals, so OH says, but I have ways of getting round him.  ;D ;D

If I didn't have two dogs, I would have been very tempted myself.  Such a sweet kitten and so young that it hadn't become wild. 
We really need to get all our ferals neutered.

Yes Shirl, we had the ginger and white tomcat neutered, but none of the others.  It's something we really need to get sorted.  Most plotholders like to have the cats around because they keep the vermin down but it's a shame for the kittens when they get abandoned by their mothers.

Adorable! He/she has a beautiful coat and I love the faint stripes in the fur. There is a feisty look to its ears too! If I lived somewhere with a garden I would probably be the nutty lady who collects strays.. I dont think that one will be homeless for long  :)

Forgot to say that I had to take the kitten home with me so the CPL could collect it more easily.  I didn't want to bring it in the house because my dogs would have known so I waited in the porch with it.  The poor little thing had been away from his mum for at least 3 hours by the time she came for him and he was really hungry.  He kept nuzzling at my hand trying to get milk.
