Seasons cucumbers

Here are but a few of the outdoor cukes I have managed to grow for the first time.
Shame they are a bit bitter.

Does anyone have a preference as to what I might try next year?

The sweeter the better and with no spikes.

Got them back now to put some tread on them

I grew crystal Lemon outdoors this year.... they are round cucumbers and quite sweet, no spikes hardly and a funny yellow colour. Only problem was that the skins were a bit tough.....

but can't have everything.....      :-\

marketmore has done me proud this year, you might want to try to get an early one in the GH until the outdoors ones start cropping...

that said I ate an overgrown Parisian Pickling gherkin a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely...you need ot peel the skin off though as they are like armour once they're 8" long.....
