Runner bean pickle
« on: August 28, 2009, 20:50:11 »
I am so happy.  Had to stay in today due to a delivery which I missed yesterday, and then a quick trip to the allotment for a few more runner beans, got caught in the rain and then tonight a thunderstorm here and heavy rain, after watering the lovely pumpkin. So decided to make the runner bean pickle and must say it actually tastes OK and like pickle, so pleased.  Said to wait for 3 months but might try some tonight with cheese and biscuits when it has cooled down.  Thanks for the recipe, whoever put it on here, did add some cornflour and it looks delicious.  Sometimes my cooking ends in the bin but think I have a result here.

Just had a nose about the site and have found the recipe. Should have done that before posting. Bit early in the morning for the poor old brain ::) Thanks
