Evictions
« on: August 11, 2009, 19:07:17 »
Finally, the contractors who run/manage our site have sent out eviction notices to 6 plot holders who have been chronic non-cultivators - their last day is Friday.

The council/contractor appear happy to turn two of the plots into 'community plots' - they have agreed to clear them and install raised beds (I nearly fell over when the Allotment Officer agreed to that)  When they are ready in the Spring, each plot will have two raised beds the width of the plot (somewhere between 3 and 5 metres) and about 1.5 metres wide.  I want to see if we can raise some money to put a shed on each community plot, for all the raised bedders to share.

It doesn't seem right to be so excited to see people get the boot - but I am :o ;D

If they are chronic non-cultivators they have to go...
Couldn't you talk him into getting you a polytunnel as well?  ;D

What's a community plot?

hehe Saddad - that's on the 2010 agenda - baby steps...

Unwashed - that's the term I have coined to describe what happens to a 10 rod plot that is so divided up, that 5 or 6 people could be working bits of it - a community :D

p.s. not received any hate mail yet............

You probably will - that's one of the perks of the job. Get in touch with NASALG and ask for legal advice.

Agree with Saddad - if you serially don't cultivate, then goodbye!
