Have You Ever Grown Spuds From Seed?

The most popular way to grow spuds is from the usual seed potato tubers.
Has anyone tried to grow them from seed?
If so, is it quite tough? What is it like in practice?
I've not seen any seeds, but I'd quite like to have a crack at it!

So would I; I was quite hopeful of getting some seed this year, until the blight struck before it was ripe. I'm planning to go to a potato breeding seminar in October, so I should find out more there.
